The University of Ilorin has taken decisive action against academic misconduct by expelling 14 students, including those at the 500 level, for various examination offenses.

In a statement issued in Ilorin, the university’s spokesperson, Kunle Akogun, revealed that the students faced expulsion due to their involvement in proven cases of examination malpractice.

Akogun explained that the decision to expel the students was endorsed by the university’s management, based on the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee during its 219th meeting convened between January 10 and 11, 2024.

The affected students hail from different academic levels, spanning across 400, 500, 300, and 100 levels, representing various faculties and departments within the university.

He further emphasized the university’s unwavering stance against academic misconduct, urging students to prioritize ethical conduct and avoid actions detrimental to their academic journey.
