The beautiful screen diva is one actress that you cannot help but love. According to CNN, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is known as the Queen of Nollywood, Nigeria’s booming movie industry.

1. Omotola Jalade is a Nigerian actress, singer, philanthropist and former model.

2. She was born on 7 February 1978 in Lagos and she grew up in Ikoyi, Ketu and Iyana-Ipaja.

3. Omotola grew up with a family of five, her parents and two younger brothers, Tayo and Bolaji Jalade.

4. She studied Estate Management at Yaba College of Technology.

5. Her first acting role was in the 1995 movie, Venom of Justice, directed by Reginald Ebere. Reginald has been cited as launching Omotola’s career.

6. Since her 1995 film debut, the actress has appeared in over 300 movies.

7. Omotola has won over 40 domestic and international awards and she is considered Africa’s biggest box office actress.

8. OmoSexy launched her music career in 2005 with the release of her debut album titled GBA.

9. Omotola married pilot, Captain Matthew Ekeinde in 1996.

10. Matthew Ekeinde is from Sabongida Ora in Edo State.

11. The couple held a white ceremony on board a Dash 7 aircraft while flying from Lagos to Benin in 2001.

12. Omotola gave birth to her first daughter on 30 March 1997. With her husband, they have four children, Princess, M.J, Merairah and Michael.

13. Oba Victor Kiladejo, the royal king of Ondo Kingdom conferred Omotola with a chieftaincy title on 9 November 2013.

14. CNN Travel noted Omotola’s famous tongue (accent) on their list of the world’s 12 sexiest accents in 2012.

15. She is an ambassador to United Nations WFP (World Food Programme), Knorr, Scanfrost – makers of fast selling Home appliances, and Amnesty International activist.
