15 Year Old Crowned King in Delta State

King-of-Ubulu-Uku

A fifteen year old teenager has been crowned the traditional ruler of the kingdom of Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South LGA of Delta State.

He is replacing his father Obi Akaeze Edward Ofulue III, who was found dead last month after being kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

Akaeze I was on Friday, after fulfilling the various rites, presented to the council of elders at the palace. Before the public presentation, the king was upon being crowned, first presented to his family.

The presentation was attended by the member representing Aniocha/Oshimili constituency at the House of Representatives, Mrs Onyemechi Mrakpor; the Chairman of Aniocha South LGA, Mr Isaac Anwuzia; the President-General of Ubulu-Uku Development Union, Comrade Jones Ofunne, and other dignitaries.

Also in attendance were traditional chiefs and title holders in the kingdom, market women, youths and other stakeholders in the community.

The new king is expected to be presented with his staff of office soon.
