Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), an operator of Joint Venture with the NNPC, says a fire outbreak has occurred at its storage facility in Escravos.

This is contained in a statement by Mr Deji Haastrup, the General Manager (Policy, Government and Public Affairs) in CNL on Wednesday in Lagos.

According to the statement, two employees of contractors of CNL died as a result of the fire incident.
The statement said the fire occurred at about 7.00 a.m at a location away from the production operations area.
