The Nigerian Army has began exercise operation “Python Dance” in Abuja, as part of efforts to guarantee security in the coming general elections.

The exercise was started at the operational step-up unit in Kuje, where the commander of the guard’s brigade noted that soldiers will be deployed to assist the police and other Para-Military services in providing security during the election.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello noted that as the nation’s capital city, it is important to ensure there is no break down of law and order, before, during and after the polls.

The third edition of exercise python dance is being conducted nationwide for the first time, to provide security during Nigeria’s elections.
