2Baba gets appointment as UNHCR goodwill ambassador

Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba, has been appointed as a regional goodwill ambassador of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

2Baba made this announcement via his social media channels on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

The ‘African Queen’ singer in the message said the appointment will deepen his commitment to supporting the efforts of UNHCR.

He wrote: “Honoured and humbled by my appointment as regional goodwill ambassador of UNHCR.

“Thanks for the recognition. This will no doubt deepen my commitment to supporting the effort of UNHCR personnel and volunteers who are on ground every day, working hard to provide support and hope to millions of forcefully displaced persons across the world.

“Special thanks to donors and supporters of the cause. Blessings one and all.”
