3-Year Old Boy Dies After He Is Locked In Hot Car While Trying To Get His Toy

By Gbolahan Adeyemi

A three-year-old boy who reportedly went inside a hot car to get one of his toys has died after getting trapped for up to 45 minutes.

Evan Trapolino was found dead in the backseat of the family car after suffering cardiac arrest.

Police believe that the little boy left his home and got into the car via the front door, possibly to get his toy from the backseat.

But when the rear doors wouldn’t open because of child-safety locks, he became trapped in the car parked at his home in north Houston.

Around 30-45 minutes later his family found him and called for help from the emergency services.

“They called 911 and started doing CPR and when they loaded him into the ambulance and left they were still doing CPR,” neighbor Chris Johnson, said.

The case is being investigated by Houston police and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
