According to reports, 800 police officers were deployed to provide security for First Lady, Patience Jonathan during a campaign rally in Kaduna State.

The security agents, consisting of both regular and plain clothes officers, were expected to secure Mrs Jonathan during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) North-West women’s rally, Punch reports.

The First Lady was however absent at the Kaduna rally due to a similar engagement in Rivers State.

President Goodluck Jonathan recently came under attack from Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos after the latter accused Jonathan of being behind the success of the recent bank robbery in Lekki.

Fashola stated that 2,123 police officers were deployed to protect Jonathan during his visit to the state thus leaving innocent citizens prone to attack.
