Wizkid Might Hit The Stage With Drake At BET Awards On Sunday

Wizkid is strongly leading the charge for African music’s takeover of the global scene.

Since the breakthrough, – Ojuelegba remix featuring Drake and Skepta in July 2015Wizkid has had a rapid rise to global reckoning.

From performing on some of the biggest stages around the world to getting featured on tracks by international superstars, Wizkid has become a hot topic.

His One Dance collaboration with Drake has further launched him on the global stage and according to the grapevine, Wizkid might get to perform with the Canadian artist at the BET Awards on Sunday.

According to Ghanaian entertainment website, Nydjlive.com, Lipede Adewole of Backhome Productions – a company based in LA and affiliated with BET International – told Lovin Cee that plans are in place to get Drake and Wizkid to perform together at the awards.

He was quoted as saying, “This year we are working on a big deal. Hopefully we can get Wizkid to join Drake on stage. it’s just a matter of time.”

Meanwhile, Wizkid has been posting pictures of himself in the studio with one of Jay Z’s recently signed artiste, Justin Skye as well American DJ and producer, Diplo.
