Eunice-Elisha

The Christian Association in 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has condemned the killing of Mrs Eunice Olawole, wife of the Parish Pastor of the Divine Touch Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG at Kubwa Satellite town, Abuja saying no stone should remain unturned to bring the perpetrators to book.

Chairman of group, Rev. Yakubu Pam, in a statement lamented the untimely death of Deaconess Eunice, stressing that hacking to death of the innocent and defenseless woman of God came less than three months after similar incidents were recorded in Kano and Niger states, where a Christian woman and a man were hacked to death by Islamic extremists operating within the Northern axis of the country.

Pam called on the Federal Government to ensure the perpetrators of the evil act were arrested and brought to book and, also ensure such act never repeated itself.

According to him: “Those trying to foment religious and ethnic crisis in country from the North should be told in clear terms that when they attack and kill people from other faith from the Southern part of the country, the counter reaction puts their kits and kins living and doing businesses in the South in danger.”

He condoled with the widower, Pastor Elisha and the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye over the death of Eunice and renewed his call on governors in the North and the Minister of the FCT to team up with the Federal Government to bring to an end the ugly incidents of attacking and killing of Christians by the Islamic extremists in the North.
