In a tweet, Kante said he shared Chelsea’s ‘high ambitions,’ and was willing to be a part of realising them.

“I’m now waiting to see my new club and give everything for s successful summer…. and season of course! We keep in touch,” he said.

He also paid tribute to his former club as well as its fans and managers. He also paid condolences to the people of Nice on the July 14, 2016 terrorist attack that claimed scores of lives.

Kante, who was part of the France squad that was denied a host-team triumph at Euro 2016 by an extra-time Portugal goal in the final.
