The National Assembly has confirmed Ataba Sani-Omolori as the new Clerk.
His appointment by the National Assembly Service Commission takes effect from August 15, 2016.
The new Clerk, who was in acting capacity for a while takes over from Salisu Maikasuwa who has been on terminal leave since May.
The decision was taken at the commissions 443rd meeting.
Before his appointment, Mr. Sani- Omolori was a former Clerk of the House of Representatives.
