Governor Ganduje Appoints New Accountant-General For Kano

Kano State governor, Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje, has approved the appointment of Mrs Aisha Bello as the new Accountant-General of the state with immediate effect.

The Commissioner of Information, Youths and Sports, Malam Muhammad Garba, made this known in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.

Garba said before her appointment, Mrs. Bello was the Commissioner of Planning and Budget in the state.

A graduate of Financial Management and Accounting, Mrs Bello held several managerial positions in the defunct Habib Nigeria Bank and First Bank of Nigeria.

Mrs. Bello was born in 1965 and is married with children.

According to the statement, the erstwhile Acting Accountant-General, Malam Ibrahim Kura, retains his position as Director Treasury.
