The Supreme Court on Tuesday re-affirmed Seriake Dickson as the validly elected Governor of Bayelsa State.

Seriake-Dickson-1-1-1-1021x1024-1021x1024-1-1021x1024

The seven-member panel of judges gave the ruling following an appeal by Timipre Sylva, candidate of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the elections.

Mr. Dickson’s election as governor had earlier been ratified by the election tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
