INEC to Deploy 10, 294 Ad Hoc Staff for Rivers’ Rerun Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission is to deploy 10,294 ad hoc staff for Saturday’s National and State Assembly rerun elections in Rivers State.

INEC bulletin released on Tuesday in Abuja said the elections will take place in three senatorial, eight federal and 10 state constituencies across the state.

According to the statement, there will be a total 21 Returning Officers, 23 Local Government Collation Officers and 221 Registration Area Collation Officers.

Others include 231 Supervisory Presiding Officers‎, 1, 840 Presiding Officers among others.

The rerun elections were suspended three times due to violence and other electoral offences, and INEC hopes to conclude the poll this time.
