Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company last week sacked about 140 workers for academic qualifications falsification.

A press statement issued by the Head, Corporate Communications of the Company, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, quoted the Head, Human Resources of the Company, Khadijat Kabir, as saying that the affected workers committed offences ranging from presenting fake result to tampering with their grades and non-completion of approved courses.

According to Kabir: “The excises was painstakingly carried-out by a consultant engaged by the Company to ensure that all forms of examination fraud by any employee of the Company is fished out.

“Kaduna Electric is a responsible corporate brand, and shall leave no stone unturned to ensure that it workforce is only made up of people with integrity.”

Kabir advised the Company’s workers to imbibe the virtues of honesty, sincerity, truthfulness and moral uprightness in all their dealings.
