UPDATE! 17 Persons Injured In Maiduguri Twin Bomb Blasts

BOMB BLASTS


17 persons have been injured in an explosion that occurred in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, around 8:48 am on Sunday morning.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), says the explosion was carried out by two suicide bombers, a male and a female near the popular Monday market.

NEMA’s information officer, Sani Datti, said in a statement that “only the suicide bombers lost their lives, and 17 persons were injured and evacuated to the Specialist Hospital Maiguduri.”
