The Lagos State Police Command on Monday arrested the Baale of Agbowa in Ikorodu, Alaka Abayomi, and three others in connection with the activities of the dreaded Badoo cult group.

The arrest of the community chief was necessitated by the renewed killings by the ritual gang who have been terrorising the people of Ikorodu and neighbouring areas for months now.

It was reported that the suspected group stormed a house of a family of 5 in the Agbowa community on Sunday, killing four while one narrowly escaped death and is receiving treatment at Ikorodu general hospital.

A team of police who carried out the arrest also uncovered a shrine alleged to be the biggest in Ikorodu and about five graves around the premises of the shrine.

”The shrine is situated on a large expanse of land surrounded by thick bushes. We saw five graves. One of them looks fresh. We couldn’t enter some of the rooms because they had iron doors,” a policeman said.
