Senator Andy Uba (APC-Anambra South) has lost out in the Anambra state governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

The senator, who joined the party from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in February, lost the APC ticket to Tony Nwonye, a seating member of the House of Representatives.

Other contesters in the party’s keenly contested primaries are: Port Harcourt-based businessman, Bart Nwibe, George Muoghalu, Obinna Uzo, Paul Chukwuma, Chike Obidigbo, and Donatus Okonkwo.

Nwonye will now flag the party’s flag in the November 18 election.
