The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards took place on August 27, and a robust roster of A-list musicians and emerging talent battled for top honors.

The ceremony, which took place at The Forum in Inglewood, California, faced an uphill battle getting eyeballs (it was on at the same time as the “Game of Thrones” finale, after all), but honored some of the best collaborations between musicians and visual artists.

Kendrick Lamar had the most nominations of the evening, with eight nods, and took home the evening’s top honor, Best Video for “Humble.” The full list of winners is below.
