The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Oyo State, has announced the resumption dates for both staff and students of the university.

A statement issued and signed by the university registrar, Jacob Agboola, said that activities resume on Friday, September 15, 2017, while students are expected back on campus by September 25, 2017.

The lecturers have been on strike for almost a year due to unpaid benefits.

Few weeks ago, the pro-chancellor and chairman, Governing Council of LAUTECH Ogbomoso, Prof. Oladapo Afolabi, had announced that the university will re-open soon.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adeniyi Gbadegesin, had also assured students that the university will be reopened to continue with their studies and move on with their academic pursuit.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state had announced that the fees of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, would be reviewed to ensure the institution is self-sustaining.
