Speaker Dogara Swears-in Hembe’s Replacement, Hon. Dorothy Mato

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara on Tuesday swore-in Dorothy Mato, the member-elect for Vandeikya/Konshesha federal constituency of Benue state.

Mato, who was ushered into the chamber by the sergeant-at-arms at about 11:42 am, was sworn-in at about 11:55am.

The lawmaker is coming three months after the Supreme Court declared her the validly elected member for the Vandeikya/ Koshesha federal constituency, after nullifying the election of the former chairman of the House Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon. Herman Hembe as the lawmaker representing the constituency.
