Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday questioned and detained ex-governor of Benue State Gabriel Suswam.

It was gathered that the development is connected with Suswam’s role in the sharing of the state’s portion of the N23billion reportedly doled out by ex-minister of Petroleum, Alison Madueke to influence the outcome of the 2015 presidential election.

Suswam, who is facing charges of looting public funds, was said to have arrived the premises of the anti-crime body in the morning and was quickly led to answer questions about the N450million fraud.

Further details have it that Suswam was then detained by the EFCC operatives so he can tell them everything about the cash which he was said to have personally taken from a commercial bank.
