12 Killed In Suicide Bomb Blast In Maiduguri

12 people have been reportedly killed and 48 others left with varying degrees of injuries after a suicide bomb attack in Maiduguri on Wednesday.

According to eyewitnesses, the explosion came off an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which was detonated by a male suicide bomber.

The dastardly act was carried out at Alai Fadawu market, on the outskirts of Maiduguri, at about 4pm just as trading activities started picking up.

Another bomber triggered the bomb strapped t his body but this caused no extra casualty.
