A Federal High Court in Abuja has denied a bail application filed by Maryam Sanda, who allegedly stabbed her husband, Bilyaminu Bello, to death.

Maryam was arraigned by the police for allegedly killing the son of a former PDP Chairman, Mohammed Bello.

Maryam’s counsel, Joseph Daudu (SAN) had pleaded with the court to give his client a soft landing for her to seek proper medical attention being at this early stage of her pregnancy.

The trial judge, Justice Yusuf Halilu struck out the application on Wednesday, for lacking in merit.

Halilu said, a notice of appeal has been made against the court’s earlier ruling, denying Maryam bail on December 14.
