The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has pulled out of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to form a new union.
The branch of the national body of ASUU in the Ife-based institution took the decision at a congress held on February 12.
It was learned that the state chapter had been at loggerheads with the parent body over an internal crisis.
The OAU branch also cited the decision of ASUU NEC to accept the suspended result of the vice chancellor election.
