Catholic Diocese of Makurdi on Thursday announced May 22, 2018, as date for the mass burial of those recently killed by herdsmen in the church.

Concise News understands remains of the victims of the St. Ignatius Catholic Church will be laid to rest at the holy pilgrimage centre in Ayati, Benue state.

More than 19 persons, including two priests, were killed by men believed to be herders in separate attacks on Gwer East and Guma areas of the state on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Chancellor of Makurdi Diocese Reverend Father Jude Ortese has described as abomination the killing of Priests during mass.
