Supreme Court dismissed a petition seeking to remove Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar from office on Friday.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Abdullahi Tanko Orlando, had earlier challenged the outcome of the party’s 2015 gubernatorial primaries, taking it up to the Supreme Court.

The presiding judge, Justice Utterle, maintained among other things that one cannot bring pre-election matters after election has been conducted.

The judgement of the case ST/854/2015 was delivered in favour of the governor of Bauchi state, ending a three year legal battle.
