The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the lawmaker representing Abia-South in the National Assembly.

Abaribe was nabbed on Friday morning at his barber’s shop in the Apo area of Abuja, his Special Adviser, Nwokoma Okorie, said.

The security outfit has yet to confirm Abaribe’s arrest but the Abia-South senator is understood to have been under the watch of the DSS since he stood surety for the leader of the now outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu has not been seen since the Nigerian army invaded his family home in Abia state, last year.
