The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the election of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as Governor of Enugu state, Southeast Nigeria.

The ruling was unanimously backed by judges on the panel.

The apex court affirmed Ugwuanyi’s victory and dismissed the appeal filed by Senator Abyogu Eze challenging the election for lacking in merit.

Also, the Mount Everest of all courts in Nigeria awarded cost against the lawmaker because the issues he raised have severally been decided.
