EFCC Freezes Akwa Ibom Government Accounts

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen the bank accounts of the Akwa Ibom state government, According to TheCable.

Okay Nigeria understands that a top official of the government disclosed this on Wednesday.

The source told the online newspaper that Udom Emmanuel, the governor, and accountant-general of the state were shocked by the development.

It would be recalled that the commission blocked those of Benue government yesterday.
