Fayose Threatens to Leave PDP

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State on Monday threatened to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the party’s National Convention.

The opposition party held its presidential primary on Saturday in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, where former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was declared the winner of the party’s presidential primary.

The Ekiti outgoing governor hinted that he would renounce his “membership of the PDP anytime from now.”

“After consultations, I will speak clearly to Nigerians,” he told Punch.
