Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has revealed that Eden Hazard will miss their Carabao Cup clash with Derby County on Wednesday.

Eden Hazard injured his back in the 2-2 game against Manchester United last Saturday.

The Belgian was unable to train with the team this week and missed Chelsea’s win over BATE Borisov in the Europa League game on Thursday and the 4-0 victory over Burnley on Sunday.

Speaking about Hazard’s injury after the win at Turf Moor, Sarri said the player remains a doubt ahead of Chelsea’s Wednesday fixture.

“I want him every match, if possible. I think that he offers something different,” he told Sky Sports.

“I am very happy as the team was able to score seven goals in two matches without him.

“I want him as soon as possible. I’m not sure for Wednesday.”
