Trailer Crashes Into Ekiti Market, Many Feared Dead

A truck lost control and crashed into a market in Iworoko, Ekiti on Saturday (January 12).

According to source in Ekiti, many people were feared dead after as the truck coming from Ifaki Ekiti heading towards Ado Ekiti rammed into the market at about 8pm on Saturday (January 12).

As at the time of writing this report casualty figures could not be ascertained, the source confirmed that, “Four bodies had been recovered from the scene.”

The source also confirmed that efforts to rescue others trapped under the truck were ongoing by sympathisers and traffic officials.

A mini-commercial bus with passengers was crushed by the truck before ramming into the market, the source confirmed.
