Gov. Tambuwal sacks commissioner for Information, Bello Goronyo

Aminu Tambuwal, Sokoto State governor, on Tuesday sacked the state commissioner for Information, Bello Goronyo, over alleged sabotage.

This moved was revealed in a statement by Abu Shekara, the governor’s spokesman, said the permanent secretary of the ministry was directed to take over the affairs of the ministry.

The statement reads, “His Excellency Aminu Waziri Tambu has relieved Barrister Bello Goronyo of his appointment as Commissioner of Information with immediate effect.

“The permanent secretary has been directed to take over the affairs of the ministry immediately.

“His relieved (sic) was sequel to sabotaging state government efforts on its laudable programmes and activities,” Mr Shekara added.
