The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has granted bail to Justice Walter Onnoghen, suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

Onnoghen had pleaded not guilty to six-count charge on non-asset declaration and operating foreign account.

However, he was granted bail on self-recognisance applied by his lawyer, Chris Uche (SAN).

Chris Uche also appealed with the tribunal to adjourn to a date after the general elections, to which the tribunal chairman, Danladi Umar replied, “Granted.”
