Dogara defeats APC candidate to retain National Assembly seat

Yakubu Dogara, has won the Dass/Bogoro/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency election.

The Speaker House of Representatives, who contested on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 73,609 votes to beat Dalhatu Abubakar Kantana of the ruling APC who got 50,708 votes.

Professor Mohammed Yusuf Abdulhamid, INEC Returning Officer for the elections, announcing the results declared Dogara winner of the having satisfied all the requirements and having the highest votes.
