Police arrest commissioner for leading thugs to disrupt election in Kano

Muktar Yakasai, Kano State Commissioner for Special Duties, has been arrested by Police officers in the state.

Okay Nigeria understands that Yakasai purportedly led some thugs to disrupt ongoing election process at Yelwa Secondary School in Dala Local Government Area of the state.

Abdullahi Haruna, spokesperson of the Police in the state, wasn’t available to confirm the arrest at the time of writing this report.

However, witnesses said violence has broken out again in Gama ward and the police were forced to fire tear gas to disperse youth who were becoming agitated.
