Nigeria customs 2019 recruitment exercise begins

The Nigeria customs service has launched its recruitment exercise for 2019.

According to Okay Nigeria, this was disclosed by Hameed Ali, the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), on Tuesday during a press briefing at the Customs headquarters in Abuja.

The Customs boss said that Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the exercise in line with requirements of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).

In his words, “We are actively engaged with the Commission to ensure that the process will earn a certificate of compliance on merit.”

Also, he revealed that recruitment exercise aim is to fill 800 space in the Support Staff for Superintendent Cadre category.

The Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) furthered stated that 2,400 space will go for Customs Inspector and Customs Assistant Cadre in the General Duty category.

A portal (http://vacancy.customs.gov.ng/) has been launched for interested persons to apply with the requirement below.

  • Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen by birth
  • Applicants must have completed secondary school (O level) or higher education depending on the position been applied
  • Applicant must be within the age brackets of 18-35 years
  • Prisoners are excluded from the Nigerian Customs Service Recruitment 2019
