Nigerian Senate passes N8.916 trillion 2019 Budget

The Nigerian Senate has passed the 2019 budget of N8.916 trillion against N8.83 trillion earlier proposed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Okay Nigeria understands that Danjuma Goje, chairman senate committee on appropriations, presented a report during plenary on Tuesday.

Goje while presenting the report stated that “This is the first time that the benchmark will not be increased.”

The senators then voted on the clauses of the appropriation bill in the committee of supply.

Also, N10 billion intervention fund was approved for the activities of bandits and kidnappers in Zamfara.
