House of Reps passes South-east Development Commission bill

The House of Representative passed the South-East Development Commission bill during Thursday’s plenary.

Okay Nigeria understands that the bill which have already been passed by the Senate was rejected by the Reps in 2018.

The bill is to tackle the infrastructure deficit and ecological challenges besetting the region. It also seeks to act as a catalyst for the development of the commercial potential of the zone.

The lower legislative chamber widely voted for the bill when put to voice note.
