The Katsina Emirate Council headed by the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, has suspended Sallah durbar in the state also known as ‘Hawan Sallah’ and ‘Hawan Bariki’.

Okay Nigeria News understands that the emirate made this move to commiserate with victims of recent bandits attacks in the state.

Bello Mamman Ifo, the Secretary of the Emirate council and Sallaman Katsina, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

In the statement, he said, to commiserate with the victims of armed banditry in some of the Local Governments in the emirate like Dan-Musa, Jibia, Kankara, Batsari and others.

Meanwhile, the statement also noted that Eid prayers will be observed as usual.

The Emirate called residence of the state to pray for the sustenance of peace in the state and Nigeria at large.
