Nigeria Air: FG okays N47 billion for kick-off of national carrier

The federal government has approved the sum of N47 billion for the commencement of ‘Nigeria Air’.

Okay.ng report that the national carrier project was indefinitely suspended on September 20th, 2018.

However, Hadi Sirika, the minister of State for Aviation, disclosed to newsmen on Monday that the money is already in the 2019 budget recently passed by the National Assembly.

He said, “President Muhammadu Buhari had directed that the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) for the project be provided for in the 2019 Appropriation; which the National Assembly has graciously done.”
