Buhari, Osinbajo sworn-in for second term in office [Photos]

President Muhammadu Buhari has taken his oath of office for his second term.

Mr Buhari was administered the oath by the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Tanko Muhammad, on Wednesday at the Eagles Square, Abuja.

The President took the oath in the company of his wife, Aisha.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo had earlier been sworn in by the acting CJN after taking his oath of office.

He was also accompanied to the podium by his wife, Dolapo.

The swearing-in ceremony kicked off after opening prayers from both Christian and Muslim clerics.

Buhari arrived at Eagles Square at about 10 am.

Notable guests at the venue were Senate President, Bukola Saraki; Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; and other top government officials.
