Google resolves issue affecting several services

Google has resolved the issue which affected several of its services on Sunday, 2nd June.

Okay.ng had reported that the services like Analytics, YouTube, Gmail, and others were affected in Nigeria and some part of Europe.

This digital news platform stated that users of this services reported the outage through micro-blogging platform, Twitter.

However, Google in a statement said the issue affecting users have been resolved.

“The network congestion issue in eastern USA, affecting Google Cloud, G Suite, and YouTube has been resolved for all affected users as of 4:00pm US/Pacific,” the statement reads.

Furthermore, the search engine giant disclosed that investigation will be conducted to avoid future occurrence.

“We will conduct an internal investigation of this issue and make appropriate improvements to our systems to help prevent or minimize future recurrence.

“We will provide a detailed report of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation.”
