The national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared Babatunde Irukera to contest in Kogi governorship primary.

Lanre Issa-Onilu, spokesman of the APC, said in a statement on Wednesday that Irukera had met the party’s guidelines.

The statement read: “The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared a governorship aspirant, Babatunde Ayo Kunle Irukera to contest the Party’s Kogi governorship primaries.

“Babatunde Ayo Kunle Irukera successfully met the conditions provided by the Party’s guidelines for the nomination of candidates within the time granted to clarify his claims.”
