Supreme Court strikes out Atiku’s appeal against Buhari’s re-election victory

The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, against the re-election victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The apex court gave the final ruling after hearing the appeal on Wednesday.

A seven-man panel of the court led by Tanko Muhammad, chief justice of Nigeria, ruled that that the appeal lacks merit, saying the reasons for the judgment would be given on a later date.
