An oil pipeline running through Glory Land estate around Isheri Olofin, Egbe-Idimu local council development area of Lagos state, has exploded.

Okay.ng understands that the incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, leaving residents scampering for safety.

Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, director-general, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the incident, saying emergency responders have been deployed in the scene.

He said, “There is an outbreak of fire at the back of Diamond Estate along Isheri/Lasu -Igando Road. I suspect that the fire must have been caused by pipeline vandalism. I have activated Lagos State Response Plan. All key stakeholders have moved to the scene.”
