President Muhammadu Buhari has issued a warning to the Service Chiefs over the raising insecurity across the country.

Okay.ng recalls that the president held a closed-door meeting with all Security Chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday, June 18, 2020.

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (Rtd.), after the meeting told reporters that the Buhari warned that “excuses will no longer be tolerated,” because he expects them to live up to expectations.

According to Monguno, President Buhari was unhappy with the current state of security in Nigeria.

Monguno also said that Buhari ordered him to meet with governors of the northwest state including that of Niger State, in order to know what the problems are and find solutions to them.
