Ondo 2020: Eyitayo Jegede wins PDP governorship primary

Eyitayo Jegede has emerged as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship in Ondo State.

Chairman of the election committee, governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi announced the result said that Jegede won the keenly contested election.

Jegede won the election with securing 888 votes to defeat Agboola Ajayi who scored 657 votes and Eddy Olafeso emerged third with 175 votes.

Bode Ayorinde got 95 votes while Banji Okunomo scored 90 votes followed by Sola Ebiseni with 29 votes and Godday Erewa scored 14 votes.

Two thousand one hundred and eleven delegates participated in the exercise held at the International Culture and Event Centre, the Dome, in Akure, the state capital.
